Frequently asked questions
Why doesn’t this calculator quote a "% ROI of training" benchmark?
Because the popular ones don’t survive scrutiny — the oft-quoted "218% higher income per employee" figure has no verifiable primary source. The strongest evidence is effect-size based (training measurably improves organisational results; Arthur et al., 2003), so the calculator derives ROI from your own productivity and cost inputs instead.
Does the model count the cost of employee time spent in training?
Yes. Time in training is costed at fully loaded rates, not just the course fee — that is usually the largest cost line and the one most business cases forget.
